Grammar: First Language Lessons for the Well-Trained Mind, second half
Math: Singapore Primary Mathematics 2A, then move on to 2B
Science: NOEO Science "Chemistry I: Bubbly, Sticky, Bouncy and Icky!" with Young Scientist Club experiment kits
Handwriting: Handwriting witout Tears manuscript using own copywork generated with StartWrite 5.0 software
Plenty of learning through real life

- Diet Eman, Dutch resistance leader during the Holocaust and author of "Things We Couldn't Say" (heard her speak)
- Dia Michels, author of "If My Mom Were a Platypus" and others (attended her storytime)
- Margaret Kenda, author of "Geography Wizardry for Kids" and others in the series including Math, Cooking, Word and Science; "Whole Foods for Babies and Toddlers" and others (rode Chicago bus with her from LLLI conference to museum)
- Peggy O'Mara, author of "Mothering Magazine's Having a Baby Naturally" and others (attended book signing at LLLI conference)
